Vayikra

Leviticus 1:1−5:26

JOIN US! Temple Sinai will be joined by Yael Kanarek, artist and founder of the project, Beit Toratah: The Regendered Bible. For more on the project, see: https://www.beittoratah.org/

Kanarek is an Israeli-American artist whose work has been shown and supported internationally. See it here: https://www.yaelkanarek.com/

Together with TS member Felicia Kornbluh, a participant in the Beit Toratah weekly discussion group, they will explore this week's Torah portion, "Vayikra/Vatikra" in regendered form: What changes in our experiences of these texts when their genders change? What do we learn about Judaism(s), Bible(s), and ourselves? What possibilities open up?
