Death is one of the few certainties in life, and Jewish tradition offers a wealth of wisdom for facing it, before, during, and after. This four-part series walks through the full arc: getting your affairs in order, planning a Jewish funeral, and understanding how Jewish mourning practices support the living. As a bonus, we will look at the Jewish tradition of Ethical Wills, writings that share personal values and wisdom on living well. Come to one session or all four.
Session 1, October 14: 7-9pm. Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning. Co-offered by Sisterhood and Avodah, this session covers the legal and financial groundwork of end-of-life planning.
Session 2, October 28: 7-8:30. Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Death and Dying: A Q&A with the Cantor and Rabbi to answer your questions on Jewish rituals and practices.
Session 3, November 11: 7-8:30 Planning Your Funeral: A Practical Workshop.
Session 4, November 18: 7-8:30 Ethical Wills: Sharing your Living Values.
