Join us for a lively discussion led by:

Dr. Felicia Kornbluh, Professor of History and of Women, Sexuality and Gender Studies at UVM.

With major movies, TV series, and books about her coming out this year, Golda Meir is having a “moment.” Golda is an icon, but of what? Socialist, Zionist, Woman, World Leader, Golda is beloved among American Jews but controversial in Israel.

Special “Poetry of the Land” with Dr. Rachel Korazim (w/OZ) - ZOOM ONLY

We will gather at Temple Sinai for a Zoom presentation from Dr. Rachel Korazim. You may join us via Zoom as well.

Rachel Korazim is an outstanding interpreter and teacher of modern Hebrew literature and poetry. She is a consultant at the Hartmann Institute in Jerusalem, where both Rabbi Edleson and Rabbi Small have studied with her.  We are thrilled to bring her here, via ZOOM, to explore modern Hebrew poetry of the land.

Rachel (pronounced like we do in prayers, with a Hebrew 'ch') served as the Academic Director of distance learning programs at the Jewish Agency’s Department of Education. She earned her Ph.D. from Haifa University and has vast experience in Jewish education in Israel, the US, Canada, Latin America, and Europe. She is a founder of a special program for soldiers from disadvantaged backgrounds. She is involved with Jewish education worldwide. Since 1990, she has invested time and energy in helping emerging Jewish schools of Hungary.

Please join us for this rare opportunity.

ZOOM ONLY

Thank you to our sponsors listed here.
