ADULT EDUCATION

In addition to frequently sponsoring special events and guest speakers, Temple Sinai has an active adult-education program. Recent offerings have included Introduction to Judaism, Hebrew for Beginners, Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and the History of Jerusalem.

Every Saturday at 9 a.m., a small, congenial “Shabbaton Torah Study” group meets in the Temple Sinai Library to discuss the weekly Torah parashah. Newcomers are warmly welcomed!

Coming to high holiday services?

Ever wonder why the prayerbook includes what it includes, what the prayers mean, where they come from, and why they're arranged the way they are?  Would you like to learn more about the themes and rituals of the high holidays, and have a more meaningful appreciation of services as a result?

Our choir director Bruce Chalmer will be teaching a mini-course on high holiday liturgy covering these topics. The course will meet on three Fridays at 6:30pm, just before Shabbat services. It's free and open to all--just come!  The dates are September 9, 16, and 23.

Even if you missed the first date, please feel free to Join us!
