Sisterhood Zoom Lunch and Learn: Poetry as a Healing Art

OUR PROGRAM:

“Poetry is heightened language, the heartbeat music of one’s story, the voice of collective memory….inviting you to come join the dance.” Poems are made of images, metaphor, alliteration, repetition, rhythm and meter, moving the poem forward.

Prompts will be offered to spark our stories and peak our imaginations. Let us illuminate our blessings together.

OUR AUTHOR & POET: TERRY HAUPTMAN
Terry's seventh book of poetry, "Fallen Angels", will be out this fall. Terry reads her poetry rhapsodically and exhibits her luminous 5’ x 40’ Songline Scrolls nationally. She has a Masters Degree in Poetry from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and a PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts from Ohio University. She has taught World Art, Poetry and Ethnopoetics at several universities and workshops, most recently at Green Mountain College. She lives in Vermont with Robert and Kira.
