OUR PROGRAM: Hear the inspiring true story of a young Catholic Polish girl who saved the lives of twelve young Jewish professionals during WWII. The 50-minute solo performance byJanet Rodgers, followed by Q & A, tells the true story of Irena Gut Opdyke - based on her autobiography In My Hands. It is a story of love, compassion, courage and human respect.

PERFORMER JANET RODGERS:Janet Rodgers has dedicated her professional life to theatre. During the 1970's and 1980's she was a classical actress with the Lyric Stage of Boston and the Boston Shakespeare Company where she played many leading roles. She has taught at The Boston Conservatory & is Professor Emerita from Virginia Commonwealth University.
