Support Temple Sinai

Dear Congregants and Friends of Temple Sinai,

Thank you for supporting Temple Sinai with your participation and membership.

What does it mean to be a Member of Temple Sinai? When you join, we ask you to pay membership dues. That is important! Those dues and the donations and gifts we receive support the core functions of our Synagogue including support for our building, the teachers, the rabbi, and our core programs. None of that will exist without the financial participation of our members.

But membership means so much more!

●  You are members of a community!

●  You are members of a team!

●  We work together to create a warm, inviting place for everyone.

●  We work together to educate our children and to engage our young people.

●  We honor each other's ideas!

●  We create innovative programs!

●  We make our space beautiful and welcoming!

●  We celebrate together! And we sing and pray together.

●  We care for those who are ill.

●  We provide support for each other in times of joy and sorrow!

WE do these things and many more. The more we work together, the more friends we make and the more pride we take in our place and our community.

As we start 5782 and end 2021, it is critical that we have the full financial support of our members so that we can continue to provide a joyful, Jewish-based spiritual and community experience.

Temple Sinai depends on its Annual Appeal and the Chai Society to raise $40,000 to enhance temple life beyond the core services that dues cover.. Whether you give $18 or a Chai Society gift we value our members equally and appreciate your support.

Why do we need your donations and your participation?

  • ●  Your gift allows us to offer more classes, bring fabulous Jewish concerts and programs, allow us to Zoom our services, build a new website and expand our Hebrew School offerings. They allow for building a joyous, welcoming community!

  • ●  We give Dues Abatement to those who need it so that lack of money is not a barrier to membership. Dues Abatement costs Temple Sinai $70,000 per year.

  • ●  Religious School is a basic function of a synagogue, and we don’t charge tuition. The congregation has committed to pay the costs of the Director, teachers and materials for Religious School and Temple Sinai needs your help to do that.

Please give generously this year! Susan Leff, President

The Annual Meeting will be held Sunday November 21st at 10am. Annual Meeting with packet with details to be sent soon.

How can I make my donation?

Thank you! Giving Made Easy. We make it easy for you to give to Temple Sinai. You can write a check (made out to “Temple Sinai”) with Annual Appeal in the memo, go on-line and log into ShulCloud (https://templesinaivt.shulcloud.com/), or call our office (802-862-5125) and speak with Stacie to make a donation via credit card, or mail your check! Your gifts will then allow us to focus on offering new and continuing Jewish programs, teachings and events. Most importantly, your gifts will allow us to continue to capitalize on the wonderful positive energy and goodwill we together have generated over the last 3 years, as well as revitalize our own Temple community, strengthen our presence in the local Jewish community, and increase our visibility on important issues affecting the human community.

Chai Society

We value every gift. A few congregants are able to make significantly larger gifts to Temple Sinai. We all appreciate the community enhancements that these larger gifts provide. A Chai Society gift is any gift to Temple Sinai of $1800 or more in a given calendar year. This is cumulative. If you have already made donations this year, they count toward that $1800 gift. If you want to know how much you have given so far contact Stacie, and she will let you know how much you still need to give to join the Chai Society this year.

A gift of $5000 will make you a Platinum Chai Society member for this year.
